We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our Resourced Provision specialising in Communication and Interaction needs. You will support students with EHCPs to achieve excellent outcomes, ensure their full inclusion in school life, and promote inclusive practice across the school. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people within a supportive, forward-looking team.
Responsibilities
Note: The original description emphasizes inclusion and support for students with EHCPs within a Resourced Provision. Responsibilities include:
* Provide high-quality teaching and learning for students with communication and interaction needs, including those with ASC.
* Support inclusion across the school and promote inclusive practice.
* Collaborate with pupils, colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support outcomes for students with SEND.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of SEND initiatives and evidence-based strategies for speech, language, and communication needs.
Qualifications
* Essential Qualities:
o Degree and PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
o Proven record of excellent classroom teaching and raising standards
o Experience with students with communication & interaction needs, including ASC
o Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
o Excellent communication, organization, and ICT skills
o Commitment to inclusive education and the Catholic ethos of the school
o Ability to work effectively with pupils, colleagues, parents, and external agencies
* Desirable Qualities:
o Further SEN qualifications (e.g. NASENCo, Autism Education Trust)
o Experience of leading or contributing to SEND initiatives
o Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for speech, language, and communication needs
o Experience of multi-agency working
o Ability to train, mentor, and support colleagues
o Reflective, innovative approach with ambition for future leadership roles
