Overview
Band 8-9 - £34,434 to £40,777 per annum, plus 17.5% per annum market supplement and Essential Car User allowance. Full time 37 hours per week. Based at the Guildhall, Gainsborough. Our Building Control service is going from strength to strength and we are now looking to recruit a permanent Building Control Surveyor to join the team. This is an exciting time to be involved in Building Control. Our current projects include Gainsborough Town Centre regeneration with a new cinema, prestigious housing developments, multi-storey apartments and every kind of domestic extension and alteration you could think of.
Responsibilities
* Undertake Building Control duties including plan checking, site inspections, enforcement, dangerous structures, and other building surveying duties when necessary.
* Assist with out-of-hours dangerous structure call-out rota system if required.
* Contribute to delivering a high standard of service within the Building Control team.
Qualifications and Skills
* Positive, commercially focused, forward-thinking surveyor with excellent ICT skills.
* Knowledge and understanding of construction, the Building Act, Building Regulations, and associated legislation.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn.
* Part-qualified candidates, those who have completed their academic studies, or those with experience in a Building Control/construction environment will be considered.
* Applicants must be a Registered Building Inspector of at least class 2A.
