We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Family First Case Manager to join the Knowsley Family First team. This is a vital role supporting families with complex needs to achieve lasting, positive outcomes – reducing the need for statutory intervention and helping children and young people thrive.
About the Role:
You’ll coordinate and deliver multi-agency support through a whole-family approach. Working in line with the Early Help and Prevention Strategy and the national Supporting Families programme, you’ll complete assessments, build SMART action plans, and lead early intervention work with families.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Early Help Assessments and develop outcome-focused SMART plans
*
Organise and chair Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings
*
Deliver direct work with children and young people
*
Carry out regular home visits
*
Monitor progress and review plans within agreed timescales
*
Collaborate with a wide range of professionals and services
*
Maintain accurate, timely case records
Requirements:
✅ Proven experience in safeguarding and early intervention
✅ Experience supporting children with SEND
✅ Ability to manage a caseload effectively and independently
✅ Strong organisational, written, and verbal communication skills
✅ Ability to build positive, solution-focused relationships with families
