We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The Sous Chef will play a key leadership role in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in menu execution, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and service.
* Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain consistency and efficiency.
* Oversee kitchen stations, ensuring dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
* Support in menu development, specials creation, and seasonal adjustments.
* Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and minimize food waste.
* Enforce food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in accordance with regulations.
* Step in to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
* Assist with cost control, portion management, and budgeting.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent time-management and organisational skills
* Good communication skills and attention to detail
* Ability to follow instructions and work safely
* Physically fit and able to lift/move stock when required
* Right to work in the UK
