Overview
Senior Software Developer at Everway (formerly n2y/Texthelp) based in Antrim, Northern Ireland. Join a global team of over 500 professionals committed to advancing neurotechnology software.
About the role
You will join one of our platform teams, responsible for building core services including user management, identities, and licensing. The team is remote and distributed across northern and western Europe and currently consists of around 10 people, including PM, EM, QA, and senior engineers.
Main Responsibilities
* Design and develop high‑quality software solutions that meet customer needs.
* Participate in the development of technical documentation.
* Contribute to the overall software development process, including code reviews, version control, and continuous integration/continuous delivery.
* Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to host and configure servers, ensuring all software meets the highest security standards.
* Work with the QA team to maintain high quality standards.
* Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
* Continuously improve and optimise software architecture and development processes.
* Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and best practices in software development.
Essential Criteria
* 3+ years of experience in a software development role at an intermediate/senior level.
* Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (C#).
* Experience with identity providers, SSO, licensing, access, large‑scale user‑management, and RBAC.
* Experience working with cloud services.
* Strong understanding of software development best practices, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
* Experience working in a remote team.
* Continuous improvement mindset.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience with database technologies (SQL, MySQL).
* Experience with AWS.
* Experience in an Agile development environment.
* Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Pipelines).
* Knowledge of secure coding practices for web development (e.g. OWASP Top 10).
