This Food Technician job is based at a secondary school in Sheffield. The school has a very dedicated workforce that focusses on the educational oues of all students and aims to create a learningmunity that is both supportive and safe in an environment of mutual respect.
Your new role
This school is currently looking for a full-time Food Technician to start as soon as possible. Your time in this role will include:
1. Provide technical support for food lessons
2. Prepare and maintain equipment and materials for food technology lessons
3. Ensure health and safety standards are met in the classroom
4. Support teaching staff during practical lessons.
Stockroom management, including safe storage of foods
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would have:
5. Ability to multitask.
6. Good problem-solving skills.
7. Inventory management.
8. Experience in a food preparation environment
9. Awareness of health and safety, including safe storage of foods.
10. Be motivated and proactive.
11. Passionate about food, cooking and baking.
This is a temporary role an Enhanced DBS will be required for the role. If you don't have one, it can be processed. The school is looking for someone to start immediately.
