*The Role*
We are looking for a *Lead Solar Roofer* to take charge of all roofing aspects of solar PV installations. You will lead the roofing team on site, with the majority of work being residential and some commercial projects. All jobs require scaffolding.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Lead and carry out roofing preparation for solar PV installations on all roof types (concrete, slate, tile, and commercial roofs)
* Install *integrated in-roof solar systems*
* Install *flat roof solar systems* including *non-penetrative ballast systems*
* Work safely at height on scaffolding for the majority of projects
* Carry out roof repairs, flashing, weathering, and making good after installation
* Work closely with the installation team to deliver complete, high-quality solar PV systems
* Maintain high standards of workmanship and site presentation
*Requirements:*
* Minimum *5–8 years’ experience* in the solar roofing industry (essential)
* Proven experience working on *all roof types* including concrete, slate, tile, and commercial roofs
* Strong experience with *integrated in-roof solar systems* and *flat roof ballast systems* (non-penetrative)
* Competent working on scaffolding (most jobs require full scaffolding)
* Health & Safety conscious with good knowledge of working at height regulations
* Full UK driving licence
* Reliable, hardworking, and able to lead a small team on site
* CSCS card (desirable)
