Independent Advocate – POhWER
We are seeking an Independent Advocate to support vulnerable adults in a flexible, part‑time role. The position is remote with occasional travel around the Stoke‑on‑Trent area.
Hours & Location
37 hours per week, Monday–Friday between 9 am and 5 pm. Home‑based with travel required within the Stoke‑on‑Trent area. Applicants must live in the area, hold a full driver’s licence and have access to their own transport.
Salary & Contract
Permanent contract. Starting salary: £24,242.40 per annum.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Strong communication and time‑management skills to work remotely.
* Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and ability to learn client‑management databases.
* Attention to detail and ability to record accurate information and meet deadlines.
Desirable
* Previous experience in advocacy, information & advice or a similar role within health, social care or the voluntary sector.
* Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable adults.
* Working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.
Eligibility & Vetting
Applicants must obtain an Enhanced DBS check and National Offender Management Service vetting. Successful candidates will need to provide business insurance for their own vehicle.
