Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chartered Engineer to provide specialist technical leadership and guidance across the East Anglia area. The role involves working on a varied portfolio of projects to reduce flood risk and protect communities and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide independent technical oversight of critical assets and reservoirs.
* Lead on engineering matters across the East Anglia area.
* Support the development of Deputy Catchment Engineers.
* Provide technical assurance on the investment programme and contribute to asset refurbishment decisions.
* Coach and mentor less experienced colleagues.
* Assume an incident role, available to respond to events and provide business continuity support.
Requirements
Essential
* Degree in engineering with Chartered (CEng) Civil or Structural Engineer status.
* Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
* Knowledge and experience of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
* Proven technical leadership experience.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
* Experience in Flood Risk Management.
* Reservoir construction or management experience.
* Practical experience managing infrastructure assets.
* Contract management experience within the construction sector.
