Data, Insights & Analytics Advisor Permanent - Part Time Grade C - £35,412 - £44,075 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 14.6 hours per week Birmingham City Council is transforming how we deliver services to our customers. Within our HR Shared Services, the Data, Insight & Analytics team plays a vital role in helping managers make informed, evidence‑based decisions about their people. As a Data Insight & Analytics Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of this transformation — collating, validating, and analysing HR data to measure performance, identify trends, and provide high‑quality insights. Your work will directly support HR, OD, and Payroll stakeholders, ensuring our services are efficient, impactful, and continually improving. What You’ll Be Doing Validating HR and operational performance data and uploading into Power BI dashboards. Producing scheduled HR reports for key stakeholders by agreed deadlines. Analysing HR data to identify trends and presenting findings in clear, accessible formats. Supporting customer meetings by collating and explaining relevant datasets. Reporting against KPIs and other performance metrics. Identifying improvements to enhance dashboards and analytics provision. Testing new dashboard functionality prior to go‑live. Collaborating with colleagues to streamline data collection and integration. Ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding sensitive information.
