Are you an experienced leader in food manufacturing looking for your next challenge? We’re recruiting for a hands-on, driven Operations Manager to join a well-established, fast-paced food production business.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the site, leading cross-functional teams across production, warehousing, and supply chain. This is a key leadership role with real scope to make an impact - driving performance, championing continuous improvement, and ensuring operational excellence across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop operational teams across production, logistics, and technical functions
* Ensure consistent delivery of KPIs around safety, quality, cost, service, and people
* Oversee production planning, resource management, and workflow optimisation
* Embed a strong health & safety and food safety culture, ensuring compliance with BRC and other standards
* Drive Lean and CI initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and boost site performance
* Work closely with senior leadership to support strategic goals and growth plans
* Support training, team development, and performance management across site teams
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar leadership role within food manufacturing or FMCG
* Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards (BRC, HACCP, etc.)
* Hands-on leader with excellent communication and people management skills
* Passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence
* Experience with Lean / Six Sigma principles is a strong advantage
* Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
