Job Description
New Directions Education are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Prescot. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:
5. Full-time role working in an EYFS setting, supporting both whole-class learning and targeted interventions.
6. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated activities to meet the needs of all learners.
7. Provide small group and 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs, helping to close attainment gaps.
8. Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress and behaviour.
9. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENDCo, and external professionals to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
The Ideal Candidate:
10. Must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
11. A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within an early years setting
12. Strong understanding of the national curriculum and the ability to adapt support to suit a range of learning needs.
13. Confident in supporting phonics, literacy, and numeracy interventions.
14. A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
15. Able to provide a recent school-based reference covering the last 5 years.
