A leading civil and infrastructure consultancy is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their established Birmingham office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to step into a senior role with real influence, working across a diverse portfolio of UK projects.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of geotechnical design and delivery, supporting major infrastructure, highways, rail and development schemes. The position offers a strong mix of technical work, project leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
Key Duties

Lead geotechnical design, analysis and reporting
*
Oversee ground investigations and interpret geotechnical data
*
Produce calculations, specifications and technical documentation
*
Support junior engineers and contribute to team development
*
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
About You
*
Degree in Civil, Geotechnical or related engineering discipline
*
Strong background in geotechnical design and ground investigation
*
Confident using industry software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, WALLAP)
*
Excellent communication and report‑writing skills
*
Chartered or working toward chartership (advantageous)
