Overview
Sterling UK Control Tower is seeking an Aerospace International Logistics Specialist to join our aerospace team. The role ensures a positive customer experience by providing operational and customer care excellence. Shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and enhance customer services by ensuring procedures are followed and systems are used correctly
* Follow new systems procedures within the department
* Answer the phone in a professional and timely manner
* Takes job orders from clients, including routing, classifying of service type, and establishing a deadline
* Provide continuous notification and follow‑up for clients (flight and customs delays, proof of deliveries, charges, resolutions, etc.)
* Familiarise yourself with all special services offered and ensure customers are given all available options
* Help develop and maintain relationships with clients
* Ensure communication with service partners is kept up to date
Qualifications
* Experience in the aerospace field is preferred
* Extensive customer service experience within freight forwarding, preferably in air logistics
* Excellent knowledge of international and domestic airline routings, geography and time zones
* Understanding of the aviation industry and delivering time‑critical shipments using all available services
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
* Good written and verbal communication skills in English
