About the Role We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established 36-bed residential care home in Pembroke, supporting a mixture of Private and Local Authority residents. With an occupancy of 30, the home offers an excellent opportunity for a strong leader to continue stabilising and improving service quality.
An ASAP start is available for the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operations of the residential care home
* Ensure full compliance with CQC standards (or CIW if Welsh-regulated — let me know which you need)
* Maintain and improve high-quality, person-centred care
* Lead, support, and develop the care team
* Oversee staffing, recruitment, and performance management
* Build effective relationships with families, Local Authorities, and external professionals
* Manage safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaint resolution
* Monitor budgets, occupancy, and service performance
Requirements
* Experienced Registered Manager within residential or elderly care
* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements
* Proven ability to lead teams and drive service improvements
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Confident in managing safeguarding and compliance
