Role Overview
Creative Support is a busy and dynamic national charity with a track record in providing high-quality, person-centred support services in over 65 Local Authorities.
Responsibilities
* Share the delivery of two large weekly evening discos (Middlesbrough and Stockton) on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6pm – 9.30pm, for adults with a learning disability or other support need.
* Coordinate a small team of staff and helpers and ensure the smooth running of the discos.
* Support the setup of an additional disco in Darlington on Wednesday evenings.
* Identify opportunities to expand the discos and utilise partnerships with other organisations.
* Develop, plan, and deliver social activities across North East England (County Durham, South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Gateshead, and Newcastle) for service users.
* Deliver existing activities and collaborate closely with the Regional Development Team and wider regional development initiatives.
* Maintain records, coordinate resources effectively, and communicate with multiple stakeholders and services.
Qualifications
* Experience in planning and delivering events and activities.
* Strong communication, networking, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and flexibly to meet the goals and changing needs of the organisation.
* Enthusiasm for working directly with people to create meaningful opportunities.
* Clean and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across the North East region.
Additional Information
Based between the Stockton Regional Office and Gateshead Area Office, with the requirement for travel to services across the North East region.
This is a fixed-term role for 12 months.
