Overview
University Hospital Tees is recruiting three General Managers across two Clinical Service Units. One General Manager will be recruited for Trauma & Orthopaedics, Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery, ENT & OMFS, Dermatology and Ophthalmology. Two General Manager posts will be in Neurosciences Services CSU. The role supports the directorates in developing a culture of high performance, ownership, and accountability, ensuring safety, quality, and excellence in patient outcomes and experience aligned with national, local, and Trust standards.
Responsibilities
* Work in partnership with Managers and lead clinicians to ensure effective and efficient management of services within the Directorate to meet access targets within available resources.
* Ensure services within the Directorate fulfil agreed objectives and quality standards.
* Report outcomes and progress toward all goals and objectives to the Clinical Service Management Team.
* Represent Directorates or constituent services at Clinical Service Meetings or other forums as delegated by the Senior Manager.
* Monitor and implement Clinical Governance systems.
* Assist in the management, capacity planning and financial budgeting.
* Be responsible for delegated budgets in designated areas.
* Assist in the production of Business Cases for service development and secure funding to support the strategic plan of the clinical service and to improve the services provided.
* Actively monitor, analyse, interpret information and data, make recommendations and initiate implementation of service change and redesign across the whole Clinical Service.

DBS Clearance
All successful candidates who are new to the Trust and require DBS clearance for this post will be required to pay the cost of their DBS via salary deduction from their first month’s pay.
