Paralegal - Multi-Track Personal Injury
Location: Warrington
Hours: .5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7.5 hours per day plus a -minute lunch)
Annual Leave: days plus bank holidays
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a busy Multi-Track Personal Injury team within a well-established and respected law firm.
This is a hands-on role supporting senior fee earners on complex and high-value personal injury claims. The successful candidate will play an active part in progressing cases, preparing legal documentation, liaising with clients and third parties, and ensuring matters are handled efficiently from inception through to resolution.
This is not purely an administrative position. The role requires someone who is organised, proactive and capable of taking ownership of tasks while working within a fast-paced litigation environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support senior fee earners with the progression of multi-track personal injury claims
2. Assist on complex and high-value cases, including serious injury matters
3. Draft correspondence, witness statements, instructions to counsel and other legal documents under supervision
4. Liaise with clients, experts, counsel, insurers, medical agencies and third parties
5. Request, chase and organise medical records, expert reports and key evidence
6. Review documentation and assist in preparing case summaries and chronologies
7. Assist with disclosure, schedules and general litigation preparation
8. Prepare and compile trial bundles and court documentation
9. Assist with issuing proceedings and preparing litigation documents where required
10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date file records using a case management system
11. Monitor key dates, deadlines and limitation periods to ensure cases progress appropriately
12. Support the team in meeting performance and billing expectations
13. Ensure compliance with internal procedures, file management standards and regulatory requirements
14. Provide support across the wider team where required
15. Undertake general administrative and legal support duties as needed
Person Specification
16. Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, ideally within personal injury
17. Exposure to multi-track or complex claims would be advantageous but is not essential
18. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
19. Confident written and verbal communication skills
20. Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
21. Proactive, reliable and able to work well under supervision
22. Experience using a case management system is desirable
23. Law degree, LPC, SQE studies or equivalent legal background preferred
