We are seeking an inspiring Reception Teacher to join a specialist school in L27. You’ll lead a small class of 10–12 children with autism, creating a structured, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
This is a general teaching role, with responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils, while working closely with support staff to ensure consistency and care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons for Reception pupils with autism
2. Lead and manage classroom routines, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
3. Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
4. Monitor progress and adapt strategies to support individual needs
5. Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school community
What We’re Looking For
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Experience teaching in EYFS, ideally with SEND/SEMH exposure
8. Empathy, resilience, and creativity in lesson planning
9. Strong communication and leadership skills
10. Commitment to full-time hours and consistency for pupils
