Rate of Pay: £16.50- £21.59 per hour
Summary:
The Senior Business Support Officer (SEND) provides high-quality administrative and operational support to the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team, ensuring the effective and timely processing of Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and statutory SEND documentation. The role supports the smooth delivery of SEND services by coordinating administrative processes, maintaining accurate reporting systems, monitoring statutory timelines, and supporting casework officers and management within the Education service.
Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to the SEND team to ensure the efficient processing and management of EHCPs and statutory SEND documentation.
* Monitor and maintain SEND action trackers, inboxes, workflow systems, and case management records to ensure timely follow-up and completion of tasks.
* Process requests for Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments and ensure accurate record keeping throughout assessment stages.
* Ensure all administrative processes are compliant with SEND legislation, local authority procedures, data protection requirements, and statutory deadlines.
Qualifications:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
* Training or experience in SEND administration, education services, or local authority business support is advantageous.
Essentials:
* Previous experience in a Senior Business Support, Administrative, or Clerical role within a local authority, education, or public sector environment.
* Proven experience processing complex administrative workflows and maintaining statutory timelines.
* Strong understanding of SEND, education services, and local authority administrative processes, policies, and procedures.
* Advanced ICT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and reporting systems.
