HR Assistant
This role will focus on first line advice to managers in relation to HR Operations, providing clear and accurate information about HR policies, practices, initiatives, and procedures. It will also provide general support in the delivery of HR services across the four directorates within the council.
The post-holder will be required to have, be undertaking or willing to undertake the Level 5 HR Apprenticeship.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will provide clear and accurate information in respect of the range of HR policies, practices, initiatives, and procedures in order to provide guidelines to managers and staff and ensure compliance with national and local conditions of service as well as the Council’s values and behaviours
The delivery of a resolution at the point of first contact with all queries raised and where it is not possible,
proactively own where the query needs to go to ensure a resolution is found.
Supporting managers, in conjunction with the Transactional Service Centre, in the effective, accurate and timely processing of employee lifecycle through Unit 4.
The analysis, evaluation and interpretation of complex workforce information to ensure that managers have up-to-date information with which to inform HR decisions.
YOU WILL HAVE
2. Level 3 HR Apprenticeship and working toward (or committed to) undertaking the Level 5 HR Apprenticeship
3. Have successful experience of working in HR environment.
4. The ability to interpret terms conditions of employment and regulations etc
5. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, IT packages etc
6. Skills to analyse information/data and present information clearly
7. Effective teamwork and communication skills
8. Flexible approach to work
