Graduation and Awards Officer
Full time, 37 hours per week
£33,002 to £38,784 per annum
Fixed term maternity cover for up to 12 months*
This post is an exciting opportunity to organise and deliver the University’s graduation ceremonies which are currently held in Winchester Cathedral. Working with colleagues across the University and with external partners, you will create a memorable day for over 2500 graduating students and their guests each year.
To deliver an excellent graduation experience, you will regularly review our services and suppliers and take the lead on implementing new initiatives and procedures. You will also be responsible for the production of transcripts, replacement certificates and confirmation of awards for past students and third parties.
Alongside these duties, you will also work closely with the Examinations Officer to support centrally‑organised exams, and you will work as part of the Registry team to deliver a wide range of Registry services throughout the academic year.
As our ideal candidate you will have experience of working in an administrative capacity including event organisation and/or project management. You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, and you will be able to adapt to change. You will have the ability to work flexibly and to tight deadlines, and will work well as part of a team.
Due to the nature of this post, we are unable to accept applications from current students of the University or candidates who have graduated from the University within the last two years.
