At Medik8, we’re not just creating award-winning skincare – we’re setting new standards in quality and innovation. As we continue to grow globally, we’re looking for a Quality Assurance Team Leader to play a key role in ensuring our products meet and exceed the high expectations of our customers.

The ideal candidate is proactive and detail-oriented, with experience in a GMP-regulated environment. With strong problem-solving skills, they can confidently review deviations, complaints, and CAPAs, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement. They are an effective leader who can motivate and develop a team while fostering a strong ‘quality-first’ mindset.

This 6-month fixed-term contract is a full-time, onsite role, based at our Innovation Centre in Aylesbury. You’ll be leading a team of 3 Quality Assurance Operatives, working hands-on in a dynamic environment where collaboration, expertise, and a shared passion for excellence drive real impact.

In more detail, your role will include:

1. Leading and managing a team of Quality Assurance Operatives, providing coaching, development, and day-to-day support.
2. Ensuring compliance by reviewing batch documentation against written instructions.
3. Reviewing, investigating, and approving minor deviations and complaints for closure, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.
4. Reviewing, tracking, and approving CAPAs to ensure corrective and preventive actions are followed through to completion.
5. Overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring documentation (SOPs/WIs) is reviewed and implemented effectively.
6. Maintaining high standards by monitoring hygiene, quality, and product safety daily.
7. Identifying and reporting issues, supporting investigations into deviations and complaints.
8. Driving operational improvements through ad hoc projects that enhance production and logistics processes.

Requirements:

1. Solid experience in a similar role.
2. Strong understanding of GMP in an operational environment.
3. Experience working with QMS systems, deviations, and CAPAs.
4. Strong people skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
7. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can meet deadlines.
8. Methodical thinking and decision-making skills.
9. Can-do attitude and team motivation skills.
10. Pride in work with excellent attention to detail.
