Reception Class Teacher - Maternity Cover

HG Recruit are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in High Lane, Stockport who are seeking a dedicated Reception Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting 2nd March .
This is a full-time, long-term position, expected to run for the remainder of the academic year and potentially the full year, offering excellent stability and the opportunity to fully embed yourself within one school community.
The school is looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and committed teacher who can confidently take full responsibility for a reception class and maintain high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour.
This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to gain valuable long-term classroom experience in a supportive environment.
The role will involve:
* Full class teacher responsibilities for a Reception class
* Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum
* Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
* Assessing, tracking and monitoring pupil progress
* Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
* Managing behaviour effectively and promoting high expectations
* Marking and feedback in line with school policy
* Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
* Attending staff meetings, training and school events as required
We're looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching within Reception (1 years experience desirable)
* Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
* Confident classroom and behaviour management
* A proactive, organised and reliable approach
* Passion for helping children achieve their potential
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Right to work in the UK
