An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated Staff Nurse/ODP to join the team as a Band 6 Charge Nurse/Team Leader in Theatres, National Treatment Centre at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, Fife.
The applicant will require to have substantial experience at Senior Band 5 level and be able to take on delegated tasks and see them to completion.
The post holder will support the SCN to ensure safe efficient and effective management of the Theatre area by;
Having continuing responsibility for Theatres and creating a safe environment for both the patient and staff.
Providing professional and clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team and being responsible for the assessing planning and implementing programmes of care, and for the setting of standards of care within the operating department, providing high quality patient centred care to the conscious/unconscious patient in a safe environment.
Having responsibility for co-ordinating all nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient use of Theatre capacity for Elective Orthopaedic surgery.
Assisting in the educational development of the team.
Ensuring the efficient use of all resources.
By providing support to the SCN and having delegated responsibilities
Applicants should be educated to degree level or working towards or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
