Venatu, a leading client of ours in the Fire Protection industry, is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to join them ASAP. This full‑time role offers a competitive salary of circa £42k, bonus, company car, laptop and phone.
Responsibilities
* Program, test and commission fire alarm systems to ensure they meet design specifications and regulatory standards.
* Conduct functional tests on all devices.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve faults or configuration issues during commissioning.
* Review engineering drawings and system specifications to verify correct installation and system performance.
* Complete all required commissioning documentation, test sheets and compliance certificates.
* Liaise with clients, project managers, installers and other trades to coordinate commissioning activities.
* Provide guidance or training to end‑users on system operation and basic maintenance.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant standards (e.g. BS 5839 or equivalent local codes) and health & safety requirements.
* Support handover processes to ensure smooth transition from installation to operational use.
Candidate Profile
* Experience as a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer.
* Expertise with GENT systems.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Well organized and literate to produce accurate job reports and identify defects against British standards.
