Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors; emptying bins and replacing liners. Cleaning sanitary areas, replenishing soap, paper towels etc. Wiping down surfaces, desks (if required), door handles, communal touchpoints. Spot cleaning, removing spills, maintaining safe, clean environment. Reporting any maintenance issues (broken fixtures, leaks, damage) to site supervisor. Ensuring compliance with cleaning schedules and site standards. Adhering to health & safety regulations, COSHH (if using chemicals), and site-specific procedures. Occasionally moving light items of furniture/equipment (within safe limits). Person Specification – Skills & Experience Essential: * Previous experience in commercial cleaning (office, industrial, or similar environment) preferred. * Ability to work independently and reliably. * A strong eye for detail and pride in delivering a clean, safe work environment. * Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions. * Basic literacy and numeracy for logging tasks, reading product labels, recording supplies. * Willingness to work flexibly (shift hours as required). Desirable: * Experience of cleaning in large commercial sites (factory, warehouse, office block) is a plus. * Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals, safe handling of equipment. * Good time-management skills. * Comfortable working in a team when required.
