Description About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Support Officer to join the Guinness Team. This is a full time, 35 hours per week, up to 12 month fixed term contract role based in our Oldham, Bower House office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style. The overall purpose of the role is to deliver a customer focused service that supports customers to sustain their tenancies, adds value and contributes to the development of sustainable communities. You’ll be able to demonstrate Essential: Proven experience of working closely with customers in the housing sector. Proven knowledge of current welfare and housing benefits. Experience and success of cross agency working to deliver positive results in a collaborative manner Proven ability to communicate complex information to colleagues and customers sufficiently to aid their understanding and actions. Proven ability to advocate on behalf of the company and/or customers when dealing with local authorities and other benefit agencies. Good administration skills. Good oral and written communications. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours. Desirable: Up to date knowledge of new initiatives in the housing sector. Experience of providing cross-cutting services in the voluntary or statutory sector. Knowledge of current thinking in the sustaining tenancies field.
