Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Locally Employed Doctor (Higher) In Trauma to commence from August 2026 on a six month fixed-term.
This post is based at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, (MFT) which a major teaching hospital is serving the population of Manchester. It is home for a number of tertiary and regional services.
Candidates that are non-GMC registered at the point of application will be considered for this position, under the Trusts International Fellowship Scheme (please note, there is a £750 admin charge for this scheme). Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of a dynamic and innovative team of trauma and orthopaedic surgeons and plastic surgeons dealing with complex trauma cases at the designated Major Trauma Centre. The team is looking to appoint a keen and enthusiastic fellow, who would like to further their interest in dealing with complex trauma cases.
The successful candidate should have completed CCST (or within 6 months) along with full GMC registration and a licence to practise in the UK is required.
The candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team approach alongside of medical staff, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals.
