This exciting hybrid opportunity has arisen to join our Client Money team in Leeds to ensure client financial transactions relating to insurance broking are managed and recorded correctly.
This role will involve using your skills and knowledge across several financial accounting disciplines to deliver an effective service to our clients, ensuring that we adequately protect and administer our client’s money. The office is very close to excellent train and bus links.
What You Will Do
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more.
* Perform reconciliation and process activities across one or more of the following disciplines: Client & Insurer Payments, Payaways (intermediary payment processes), Bordereaux.
* Manage your own workload to ensure work is completed to the agreed Service Levels (SLAs) and quality standards.
* Communicate and build relations with other IBA departments and internal Brokers and businesses to investigate and resolve any queried transactions to avoid further delays.
* Be proactively involved and support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
* Support audit requests for information and process walk‑through exercises.
* Ensure compliance with the client and insurer money rules within the FCA Handbook, identifying and recording any breaches of FCA rules.

Qualifications & Experience
* Financial experience in an insurance broking environment would be desirable.
* GCSE Maths and English (grade 5 or above) or equivalent.
* Client Money (Cass 5) knowledge – desirable but not essential.
