London Player Development Programme Officer

DEPARTMENT:

LOCATION:
London – Stamford Bridge and covering SW/SE London

CONTRACT:
Permanent 35 hours a week, any 5 of 7 days

Job Opportunity

We're looking for a passionate and experienced leader to take charge of our
Player Development Programme (PDP)
— delivering high-quality, inclusive, and safe football experiences for young players while driving growth across the London region.

To thrive in this role, you'll need to have:

* Proven experience leading and delivering a football development programme
* Managed a project or budget of
£100k or more
* A strong understanding of how to grow and inspire teams
* A passion for inclusive football and community impact

Main Responsibilities:

* To lead on the effective planning, communication and execution of the Player Development Programme in London. These to include, but not limited to the Player Development Programme activity and the various activity delivered during the school holidays.
* To deliver safe, inclusive and high quality coaching activity across the Player Development Programme in London. These to include, but not limited to all In-School and Out of School activity, Player Development Programme activity and the various activity delivered during the school holidays.
* To achieve the PDP budgetary targets set across the year in London.
* To lead on managing the programme/activity schedule and sharing monthly timesheets with the Area Lead for approval.
* To lead on developing the wider area network opportunities in the area to create additional sporting opportunities to further enhance the delivery programme.
* To lead on all aspects of support for the Contracted and Sessional Coaches and Coordinators, this includes induction and onboarding, relevant training and CPD, mentoring opportunities, scheduling, appropriate resources and quality assuring.
* Conducting regular 1:1's with contracted staff to review performance and KPI's and objectives, involvement in team meetings and investing in their development/training opportunities/CPD.
* To innovate and seek new business and networking opportunities to share with relevant steering group and implement across the area to enhance the delivery programme.
* To be attend and contribute positively to the PDP steering group.
* To carry out duties relevant to legislation and Club policies and procedures.
* To undertake any Club activities that maybe required in addition to the role.

What you will bring to the role;

* A minimum of UEFA C qualification
* A project management or business qualification.
* In-date FA Safeguarding Children course & the FA Introduction to First Aid in Football certificate.
* Clean driving licence.
* Enhanced DBS check.
* Worked in an elite football setting.
* Led on a £100k project/programme previously.
* Managed staff in a sporting environment.
