Job Title: Procurement Group Leader

Salary: £56,766+
What you'll be doing:
* Support strategic activities across the support and services landscape, including demand aggregation, strategic sourcing and bid execution to align with business goals
* Collaborate cross-functionally as an integral member of the team, interfacing effectively across the Air business and with other key functions, such as Support & Services, Project Management, Engineering, Commercial, and Finance
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that product or service provisions comply with governance requirements, meet business and customer expectations, and deliver optimum value for money
* Support and contribute to Senior Business Reviews both internally and externally, providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations
* Identify risks and enhance supply chain resilience by implementing robust strategies and monitoring mechanisms
* Provide procurement support to Typhoon export campaigns as required
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Experience in procurement, with a background of coordinating sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and purchasing processes to achieve positive results
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships across teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
* A continuous improvement mindset, shown through examples of identifying new ideas, solving problems, and delivering meaningful improvements within procurement or similar environments
* Solid understanding of risk and opportunity coordination, with experience applying effective strategies in practice
* Comfortable in using IT systems and digital tools, including ERP platforms and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), with the ability to interpret data and present clear, actionable insights through reports and presentations
Desirable:
* Experience coordinating strategic supply chain activities
* Working towards or holding a professional qualification such as MCIPS, or a degree in a STEM or business-related discipline (e.g. Economics, Business, or Finance)
* Background in defence, manufacturing, or aftermarket/in-service support environments

Join our Support & Services Organisation Team, a strategic and forward-looking function within the Procurement Service Delivery Unit (SDU). The team plays a vital role in driving value across the in-service support landscape and Typhoon export campaigns, focusing on affordability, continuous improvement, and supply chain resilience. Working collaboratively across Procurement and Support & Services, the team supports strategic sourcing improvements, enhances supplier performance, and delivers efficiencies that strengthen programme delivery and operational excellence.
