Loudoun Medical Centre in East Ayrshire is looking to expand our fantastic nursing team by adding a new part time GPN. The Practice is based in a modern purpose built health centre in Darvel with a commuting time from Kilmarnock or South Glasgow of 20-25 minutes and 30 minutes from Ayr. We have a very experienced nursing team consisting of our two GPN’s, our band 8 ANP, two CTAC nurses and our practice HCA. The practice currently has 6 GPs and is extremely well supported by our Health Board employed Pharmacy Team, Mental Health Practitioner, Community Link Worker, and Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Whilst we would prefer an experienced GPN, we will also be happy to receive applications from band 5 or above nurses with previous experience in areas such as wound management, chronic disease management and health promotion. The practice is happy to support training such as the GPN course as well as role development for nurses also. We are looking for 16 hours per week over two days, but may consider more hours for the right candidate. Salary is dependent on experience.
