£160 - £230 per day
A well-regarded secondary academy in Ashford, Kent is seeking a Teacher of History for a temporary role starting in September 2025. This full-time position will cover KS3 and KS4 History, and the school is open to specialists in as well as cover supervisors with a passion and subject knowledge in History.
The successful candidate will join a well-established Humanities department with strong leadership and excellent schemes of work in place. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a good department with strong leadership and excellent facilities and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality History lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
2. Follow and enhance established schemes of work
3. Inspire students through creative and engaging lesson content
4. Support the development of analytical skills in line with the curriculum
5. (Optional) Contribute to extracurricular History activities and clubs
Requirements:
6. Strong knowledge of the History curriculum at GCSE level
7. Ability to teach mixed-ability classes confidently
8. A creative and engaging approach to lesson planning and delivery
9. A willingness to embrace new teaching technologies
10. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
