We are looking to appoint a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our early years team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young children at the start of their education, helping to create a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.

Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm
Salary: £14.55 - £15.50 per hour
Start Date: Tuesday 1st September 2026
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning in line with the EYFS Framework
* Work with individuals and small groups to support learning, development and independence
* Assist with planning and preparing engaging, play-based learning activities
* Support children’s personal, social and emotional development
* Observe, monitor and record children’s progress
* Help to maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
* Support children with additional needs, including SEN, where required
* Contribute to the wider life of the school and early years provision
Essential Requirements
* A relevant EYFS qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years)
* Experience working with children in an EYFS setting
* A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework
* A caring, patient and positive approach
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable Skills
* Experience supporting children with additional needs
* Knowledge of phonics and early language development
* A proactive and creative approach to supporting learning through play
