Male Domestic Abuse Worker
Stockport (travel across the borough)
⏱ 37 hours per week
FTC to March 2026 (possible extension depending on funding)
£26,925.44 per annum

We're looking for a dedicated Male Domestic Abuse Worker to support male victims of domestic abuse across Stockport. You'll work directly with individuals at all levels of risk, helping them stay safe, access support, and rebuild their lives, while also raising awareness of the needs of male victims with partners across the area.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support, safety planning and risk assessments (including MARAC).
* Develop personalised support plans and help clients access housing, benefits and wellbeing services.
* Raise awareness of male victims' needs across agencies to improve identification and safeguarding.
* Work closely with domestic abuse teams including IDVAs, refuge staff and trauma-informed practitioners.
* Keep accurate records, contribute to monitoring and evaluation, and maintain confidentiality and safeguarding standards.
About You
* Experience supporting men or individuals with complex needs.
* Understanding of domestic abuse, safeguarding and risk management.
* Strong communication, organisation and caseload management skills.
* Confident building trust, motivating individuals and working independently.
* Commitment to equality, diversity and person-centred practice.
* Able to travel across Stockport therefore you must be able to drive
