We are currently working with an established Freight Forwarder who are seeking an experienced Customs Entry Clerk to join their team based in Dagenham.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and finalise import and export customs declarations
* Ensure adherence to all current customs laws and upcoming regulatory changes
* Review and resolve queries related to documentation, commodity classifications, duty rates, and licensing
* Accurately calculate applicable VAT and duty charges for each shipment
* Manage and process duty reclaims where necessary
Key Requirements:
* Solid background in freight forwarding is essential
* Must have customs entries experience
* Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures
* Familiarity with Sequoia software is a plus
