Teacher of Science Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term, September 2026 – July 2027 Working Hours: Part Time, 3 Mornings Per Week GSL Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join a well-regarded school in Pocklington from September 2026 until July 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Science Teacher seeking a part-time teaching role within a supportive and well-resourced school environment. The role involves teaching Key Stage 3 Science across three mornings per week. As a Teacher of Science, you will: Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons to Key Stage 3 students. Plan and deliver lessons in line with curriculum expectations and departmental schemes of work. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and progress. Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and learning needs. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement. Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department and wider school community. As the Ideal Teacher of Science, you should have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 level. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A flexible, organised, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning. The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
