Pharmacy Technician – Primary Care
We are looking for an enthusiastic GPhC‑registered pharmacy technician to join the growing primary care pharmacotherapy team within Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (ACHSCP).
Responsibilities
* Support delivery of the pharmacotherapy service under the 2018 GMS Contract for Scotland, including medication compliance reviews.
* Deal with pharmaceutical queries such as shortages and provide medicines reconciliation.
* Offer medication‑management advice to patients and carers.
* Ensure safe and effective use of medicines in line with local and national guidelines, including formulary adherence and review of prescribing data.
* Work on various aspects of medicines management to support safe prescribing.
Qualifications
* Registered pharmacy technician with the GPhC.
* Good communication, interpersonal and time‑management skills.
* Full driving licence and access to a car.
* Experience background in primary care, community or hospital pharmacy is desirable.
Hours and Employment
* Full‑time: 37 hours per week (will reduce to 36 hours from 1 April 2026).
* Part‑time: minimum 3 days per week (22.2 hours, reducing to 21.6 hours from 1 April 2026).
* Full and part‑time positions available.
