Full-time, permanent, Monday to Friday with an early Friday finish
Salary: 38k to 42k + excellent facilities and development opportunities
We’re looking to speak with ex-military engineers or experienced civilian engineers who’d like to use their hands-on technical background to train the next generation of apprentices.
Whether you already deliver training or you’re an engineer interested in a career change into the training world, this role offers full support, professional development, and funded teaching qualifications.
You’ll be joining a large, Armed Forces–friendly organisation with outstanding workshops, CNC and milling suites, hydraulics/pneumatics labs and modern mechatronics equipment. It’s a professional, well-resourced environment where your real-world experience will make a genuine difference.
What we’re looking for
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering backgrounds such as:
*
Mechanical Maintenance, Fitter/Turner, Machinist (CNC, Milling, Lathe, etc.)
*
Hydraulics/Pneumatics experience (Fluid Power)
*
Mechatronics, Automation, or Electro-Mechanical systems
*
Electrical Maintenance/Industrial Electrician (3-phase, motors, panels, fault-finding)
Plus:
*
Experience coaching, mentoring or instructing others (formal teaching experience not required as full training and qualifications will be provided)
*
Strong communication and people skills
*
A passion for developing learners and sharing knowledge
*
Suitability for those leaving the military within 6–12 months or already transitioned
