Due to growth, we are recruiting an Engineering Planner at our Burton site, reporting to the Site Engineering Manager.
Role Purpose: To provide a safe, cost-effective, and proactive maintenance planning service that facilitates excellent execution of maintenance activities and supports asset reliability through effective spares and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with the Engineering Manager to deliver the Engineering Plan.
* Ensure all assets meet legal standards and insurance requirements (lifting equipment, pressure systems, LEV).
* Implement and optimise the Engineering Planning System.
* Produce weekly schedules to ensure high standards and asset reliability.
* Coordinate modular overhaul activities and produce plans.
* Schedule and monitor a balanced PM system to meet KPIs.
* Report on engineering KPIs weekly.
* Implement the chosen CMMS system.
* Develop asset diagrams and support spares management, cost tracking, and reliability.
* Manage engineering spend, invoices, and delivery notes.
* Support the site engineering team with day-to-day issues.
* Ensure spares are catalogued and available, and manage engineering contractors.
* Participate in training and development activities.
* Build relationships with all site contacts and support continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements:
* Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications or apprenticeship.
* Experience in a medium/large automated manufacturing environment.
* Leadership experience in managing engineering teams.
* Experience with CMMS and spares management systems.
* Knowledge of PLCs, servo drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding.
* Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
