We’re looking for a Junior Facilities Security Officer who enjoys solving difficult technical challenges and wants their work to have real operational impact. What You’ll Do Your work may include: Security and Compliance Working with security policies, and government security standards Implementing physical, personnel, and information security measures Maintaining compliance with security regulations and audit requirements Facility and Site Management Assist with Day-to-day management of the secure facilities Oversight of contractors working in secure environments Managing keys, passes, visitor control, and access permissions and CCTV monitoring dealing with routine maintenance of physical security systems Risk Management & Assurance Monitoring threats and vulnerabilities affecting facilities Supporting internal and external security audits Registering of secure assets Ensuring secure storage of classified materials Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Liaising with staff and stakeholders Writing clear reports and maintaining accurate security records Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge non-compliance appropriately Plus any other Ad hoc tasks to support the Facilities Security Lead What We’re Looking For We value people who take ownership, think critically, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team tackling complex challenges. You don’t need to tick every box, but we’re particularly interested in people with skills/experience in: Strong attention to detail and situational awareness Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to follow procedures and work independently Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, security systems, or similar) Professional and approachable manner Desirable: Previous experience in security, facilities, or customer service Knowledge of Access control, Intrusion detection and CCTV systems SC Clearance or above Just as important are curiosity, strong problem solving ability, and the motivation to continuously improve how technology is designed and delivered.
