Role
This role focuses on building strong relationships with business networks and engaging small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the Yorkshire region. The postholder will develop and deliver creative marketing campaigns, manage events, and promote Enterprise Works’ services through a range of channels. They will meet with eligible businesses to understand their needs, generate leads, and work collaboratively with University colleagues to strengthen SME engagement. The role also involves maintaining accurate CRM records, analysing marketing data to inform future activity, and preparing reports to support strategic decision-making. Overall, it combines relationship-building, marketing, and data insight to help Enterprise Works extend its reach and impact.
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of business support networks and programmes, and how these contribute to business growth. They will be an excellent communicator, confident in presenting to business audiences and engaging a wide range of stakeholders, from SMEs to University colleagues and funders. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to analyse and interpret data to inform decisions and report outcomes effectively. The role requires good digital literacy, including the use of online communication tools, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality work. Applicants should hold a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, inclusivity, and personal and professional development.
