Mobile Plumber – Equans UK & Ireland
Equans is looking for a Mobile Plumber to join our team working across Birmingham. This permanent full‐time role is 37.5 hours per week on a two‑week rotation. Salary £34,000–£36,000 plus company vehicle and benefits. There is also on‑call rota and overtime.
What will you deliver?
* Carry out planned preventable maintenance (PPM) on plumbing, all water systems, plant and equipment in accordance with the PPM programme.
* Respond in a timely manner to breakdown requests.
* Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings.
* Assist with installation works involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
* Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements, ensuring relevant paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
* Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers’ guidelines.
* Ensure correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety and infection control procedures.
* Carry out on‑call duties as part of a rota.
* Respond safely to the effects of bad weather (e.g. snow clearing, gritting, flooding, high winds) where required.

Who are we looking for?
* Recognised apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline.
* NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating.
* Legionella awareness.
* Previously worked within a maintenance environment, ideally Childcare.
* Effective communication skills; situation awareness required when working in operational sites.
* Experience in water hygiene/legionella management activities.
* Prepared to work out of hours as necessary.
* Prepared to travel to other sites within the Company.
* Possess a current valid driving licence.
