Our client is an 8-year-old girl who lives at home with her mum, dad, and 4-year-old younger sister. She is a fun-loving, bubbly, and outgoing child who doesn’t take life too seriously and loves to have fun. She is bright, determined, and capable, she thrives in everything she sets her mind to.
She leads a busy and fulfilling life, following a therapy plan, participating in after-school activities, and enjoying a vibrant social life with friends and family. A true girly girl, she adores fashion, playing hairdresser, and having pamper sessions. She also enjoys board games, imaginative role play, having chats, and most of all anything related to technology, where she truly shines.
She has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, both of which are well-managed with medication. She uses a wheelchair and is currently learning to navigate a head-controlled wheelchair. She does not communicate verbally, but she uses a communication aid confidently and effectively. At home, she is supported on a 1:1 basis by a small, dedicated team alongside her loving family.
This role is ideal for someone with childcare experience who is enthusiastic, energetic, and confident with technology—especially someone in tune with youth culture, has Interests in music and up to date with current social apps would be a bonus.
The ideal candidate will be calm, patient, and able to use their own initiative, particularly when the parents are not present. Reliability, flexibility, and strong organisational skills are key. A willingness to follow routines and to travel with the family when needed is essential.
Hours of work
Weekday/Nights £17.00 per hour,
Sleep in rate £12.21 per hour
Applicants must have previous experience working with children with additional needs. And a full drivers licence and it be possible for us to obtain insurance for you to drive the clients vehicle.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
