The role
The primary role objective of the Resident Service & Leasing Associate is to provide exemplary customer service to current and prospective residents, including a focus on renting apartments and retaining residents.
What will you do?
* Conduct leasing tours with prospective residents. Follow-up on results.
* Using company‑approved material and procedures, quote prices and lease terms.
* Explain services. Accept applications for residency. All activities shall be conducted within regulatory and legislative requirements.
* Answer phones using a strong and professional greeting approved at the community. Paint “word pictures” to describe the community to future residents and attempt to set an appointment with the prospect.
* Promote a professional and courteous attitude with residents and peers.
* Provide move‑in coordination and new home orientation support.
* Consistently stand and greet all prospects and offer refreshments.
* Use company service requests software to properly fill out and communicate resident needs to the Maintenance Manager.
* Respond to resident communications via email, phone calls, and voicemails.
You will bring
* Previous customer service work or property management experience is beneficial, but not required for this entry level leasing and service associate position.
* Ability to communicate well with people and create an atmosphere for them to feel comfortable quickly.
* Assertiveness.
* Professional appearance and demeanour.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Telephone etiquette.
* Good verbal skills.
* Strong customer service representation.
* Ability to read and write English fluently, and the ability to accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.
