12‑month Fixed Term or Secondment, 36 hours per week | Monday to Friday
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 RMN or RGN to join the Aberdeenshire Integrated Drug & Alcohol Service on a fixed‑term basis.
You will work within a community setting, delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based, recovery‑focused interventions to individuals experiencing alcohol and/or drug related harm. The role involves providing both pharmacological and psychosocial interventions, supporting individuals throughout their recovery journey.
The post holder will work in close partnership with colleagues across health, social care, and third‑sector services to deliver Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Standards and recovery‑orientated care in line with national and local priorities.
Responsibilities
* Provide safe, effective, person‑centred care to individuals with substance misuse issues
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and wider partnership network
* Demonstrate excellent communication, assessment, and care‑planning skills
* Contribute to promoting recovery, harm reduction, and improved health outcomes
Qualifications
* Be a registered RMN or RGN with relevant post‑registration experience
* Have strong organisational, communication, and team‑working skills
* Be able to work autonomously while contributing effectively to team goals
* Have an understanding of recovery‑focused practice within substance use services
Base: Lumphart Cottage, Inverurie
Travel: Regular travel throughout South & Central Aberdeenshire is required, but may have to travel to other parts of Aberdeenshire
Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
