Assistant Quantity SurveyorLocation: NewportSalary :£60,000 - £70,000Sector: Data Centres | Mission-Critical ConstructionType: Permanent | Site-BasedA leading specialist contractor delivering large-scale data centre and mission-critical projects across the UK is expanding its commercial team and is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support major live projects.This organisation is known for repeat delivery to blue-chip technology clients, strong commercial governance, and structured career progression from junior to senior commercial leadership.You will support the commercial management of a major data centre project, gaining exposure to cost control, subcontractor management, and commercial reporting on a fast-paced, high-value build.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with cost control, forecasting, and financial reportingSupport procurement and subcontractor package managementAssist in the preparation of valuations, variations, and final accountsMaintain accurate commercial records and cost reportsWork closely with site and project teams to support commercial deliveryDevelop strong knowledge of data centre construction and commercial processesRequirementsDegree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management14 years experience in construction or engineering environmentsStrong numerical, organisational, and communication skillsAmbition to progress within a commercial career pathWhats on OfferLong-term data centre project pipelineStructured progression to QS and Senior QS levelExposure to complex, high-value projectsSupportive commercial team and mentoring environmentTPBN1_UKTJ
