Overview:
We are seeking a Chef / Kitchen Professional to join our team in leading our kitchen and preparing delicious dishes for our customers during busy services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Street Food and love working with a brand who want to push to the next level.
Our ideal candidate will enjoy working closely with our Head Chef who prepares all of our slow cooked, traditional Jamaican dishes but who is not in the kitchen during service times. Due to the majority of our food being pre-prepared the ideal candidate may have worked in a canteen style environment and this would be more than sufficient for this role.
Experience in Jamaican or Caribbean food is desirable but not required.
Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen
- Ensure high-quality food production and presentation
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Monitor and manage food stock levels
* Level 2 hygiene
* Pride in appearance
* Responsible for all kitchen paperwork
Skills:
- Experience in restaurant kitchen operations
- Proficient in food preparation
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong understanding of hospitality industry standards
- Excellent cooking skills with a creative approach to menu planning
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices

Pay: £12.25-£13.00 per hour
