The MSAT Technologist ensures the efficient, high‑quality and compliant manufacturing of pharmaceutical or biotechnological products. This position acts as a key interface between Research & Development, manufacturing operations and quality teams to support technology transfer, process monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Develop and conduct Technical Risk Assessment and drive continuous improvement initiatives for Product Control Strategies, focusing on the dermatological portfolio.
* Translate strategies into standardised workflows within Operations and provide expertise in monitoring, improving and sustaining process performance for dermatological manufacturing products.
* Proactively review performance of globally supplied dermatological products using approved software platforms; analyse trends with statistical tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab) to optimise processes and escalating concerns to ensure process control and reliability.
* Conduct and participate in key technical activities, including process trials, optimisation projects, Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and validation tasks to maintain process robustness and compliance.
* Lead or assist with process investigations, including addressing deviations and implementing corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) for manufacturing operations.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with quality assurance, supply chain, engineering and R&D to ensure alignment with operational and business goals for the dermatological portfolio.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including GMP, ICH guidelines and FDA/EU regulations, supporting internal and external audits or inspections and maintaining adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
* BSc in a scientific or engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
* Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or another regulated industry.
* Knowledge of GMP requirements and quality by design and risk management approaches.
* Experience improving products, processes and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of digital tools and data analysis, including statistical methods.
* Project management skills and ability to communicate to and influence internal and external stakeholders.
